Artist's Statement
This is a body of work that covers various subjects, styles and mediums. I find that by working in a project or ongoing subject the intensity of the pieces seem to be more cohesive and powerful.

A "Project" may consist of 10 to 30 images. As an example "Fluids," a selection of abstract watercolors paintings, seems to develop into an introspective study of biomorphic forms and related colors.

The "Ambrosial Variations" came about after a single sketch of a nude pose and developed into a series of variations of a single image of this woman.

Overall the artwork falls into an expressionist category which deals at times with metaphors, anecdotes, body, inanimate objects and facial expressions.
